From what I understand, they were a Canadian-built Chevy II, and the top trim Canso was the Nova equivalent. Some were called Beaumonts but then the Beaumont became a re-trim of the Chevelle.

I see. I know by 1967, Beaumonts were Chevelles.
Edit: According to Wikipedia, the Beaumont name was used from 1962-1965 on the Acadian, and then in 1966, it became GM Canada’s Chevelle.

We also still got the Nova, this was for Pontiac/Buick dealers to sell a compact in Canada because they couldn’t sell the Tempest for some reason
